Unlike most French Carp lakes, with our food package you can choose from our extensive menu including 15 different main courses -
all home cooked food - (2012 price €150 per person) - includes a full English Breakfast and 2 course evening meal).
If you don’t fancy cooking, we offer breakfast, and a 2 course evening meal, delivered to the gite or your swim if you prefer, every day of the week.
All the food served at Les Croix is of a very high standard - prepared using quality ingredients including home grown or fresh local produce - our English Breakfast is just that - we go further than most to obtain British bacon, sausages and beans (no poor French substitutes here !)
We have sampled the food at other French lakes and been very disappointed with the poor quality meals on offer - I can thankfully say that all of our customers have been delighted with the Les Croix food package - a quick look through the feedback section will confirm this !
Traditional full English breakfast
(Sausages, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans & fried egg with toast)
Continental Breakfast
(Croissants, Toast, a selection of Jams, Cereals, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt, and Fruit Juice)
Other options such as Poached, Fried or Scrambled Eggs on Toast, Bacon & Egg Roll etc. are available on request.

(Choice of: Steak & Kidney, Steak & Ale or Chicken & Mushroom )
2. Chicken Chasseur
(Whole chicken breast in a mushroom sauce, served with potatoes & veg of your choice.)
3. Chicken Kiev
(Whole chicken breast stuffed with garlic & herb butter, coated in breadcrumbs and served with salad & potatoes)
4. Thai Green Curry
(Succulent strips of chicken cooked in a coconut, chilli, lemon grass, coriander & garlic sauce, served with rice)
5. Traditional Sunday Roast
(Roast corn fed chicken with all the trimmings!! – Roast potatoes, stuffing, selection of vegetables & gravy)
6. Pork Chops
(Two pork chops served with a mustard sauce or gravy with veg & potatoes)
7. Beef Burger & Chips
(Home-made burger from prime beef mince served in a roll with homemade chunky chips & salad)
8. Chilli Con Carne
(Chunky chuck steak slow cooked with plenty of chilli for a good kick!, served in a large jacket potato or with rice)
9. Spaghetti Bolognaise
(Prime beef mince in a classic tomato, basil & garlic sauce on a bed of pasta served with parmesan cheese and garlic bread)
10. Beef Stew & Dumplings
(Slow cooked chuck steak with root veg in a rich gravy topped with a fluffy dumpling)
11. Duck Breast
(Whole duck breast cooked to your liking with a choice of sauces)
12. Breaded Cod
(Cod fillet covered in breadcrumbs and lightly fried, served with potato wedges & salad)
13. Liver & Bacon Casserole
(Liver and back bacon in a rich onion gravy served with potatoes & veg)
14. Barbeque Platter (Weather dependant)
(A selection of sausage, burger, chicken breast & kebabs served with salads & potatoes or chips)
15. Salad Niçoise
(served as a main course this large salad consists of a bed of lettuce topped with tomatoes, cucumber, potatoes, French beans,
hard boiled egg, tuna & olives, served with a vinaigrette & crusty bread)
16. Salad Limousin
(Lettuce, red onion & tomato topped with dry cured duck breast, crispy bacon, hard-boiled egg and chunky croutons,
served with vinaigrette and crusty bread)
17. Moules Frites
(Small sweet Mussels cooked in an onion, garlic & white wine sauce with a touch of cream, served with chips, salad garnish & crusty bread )
All meals come with a choice of potatoes: Boiled, Mashed, Jacket, Boulangère, Wedges or Chips and fresh seasonal vegetables or salad. (Home grown when available)
Desserts included with Evening Meal
Cheese Cake – Various flavours, Sherry Trifle, Fruit Crumble, Apple & Walnut Sponge, Lemon Posset, Bakewell Tart

All desserts are served with a choice of ice cream, custard, cream or crème fraiche.
