Please read our rules. There is nothing unusual to be found here, but if you find the rules to be a problem then you are probably not the type of angler that we are looking for. The rules are made purely to protect our fishery and to ensure that the carp remain in pristine condition If you disagree with anything that is written below, or you are unable to put the welfare of the carp first, then we wish you good luck wherever you decide to go fishing.
The rules are strictly enforced at Les Croix and we reserve the right to change them from time to time when neccessary.
You will be sent a copy of the rules when your booking is confirmed. If you are unsure about anything, please ask !
On arrival you will be asked to sign a copy stating that you have read and understand them. We will check your setup and rigs before you start fishing.
Persons who subsequently break rules will be asked to leave the fishery, and no refund will be given .
RODS maximum 3 per angler, soft through action rods 2.5 -3.0 lbs Test curve. Do not bring stiff casting rods as these are totally unsuitable.
REELS - Big pit style reels are required at this venue (Daiwa Emblem, Emcast, WIndcast etc, Shimano Big Baitrunner, Biomaster, Aerlex, Ultegra etc)

Nothing must be fixed above the hooklink swivel, and tubing/leadcore/safety leader must be used above the lead to protect the fish during capture.
We recommend the use of a fused nylon leader (KORDA Safe Zone/TFG Secret Trap/NASH Diffusion etc) or leadcore, as this will allow you to cut the
line without the need to re-thread tubing . Only mono, flourocarbon, and coated braid hooklinks are permitted.
Coated braid hooklinks must not be stripped back from the hook, the coating must be intact the whole length of the link.
HOOKS Barbless size 4 - 7 only. No long shank hooks. Shrink tube or silicon tube must be used over the eye of the hook.
Only flying backleads are allowed, clip-on and captive type backleads are prohibited.
All fish must be unhooked, weighed and photographed in the water, this is very easy to do, please read the page on fish care to see how this works.
Anglers must be in possesion of, and use NASH MEDI CARP antiseptic treatment on all hookholds and any visible body damage.
During some dry years the water level falls a little, it is then neccessary to enter the water to net and to return the fish.
Fishing is allowed from 06:00 to 22:00 April to October. If you want to fish 24/7 then you will need to look elsewhere.
Only fresh/frozen boilies from Premier Baits or Elite Baits and the pellets sold on site are permitted. Anglers may bring their own preferred pop-ups.
All additives including liquids, oils, glugs, salt, chilli etc are strictly prohibited as are particle and nut baits.
