Fishing Heaven gets better ! The fishing this week has just been out of this world - just fishing short morning and evening sessions and feeding little and often has yielded an amazing result. The gite as on our previous visits was perfect, warm and cosy just like home. The beautiful sunny weather in the first part of the week made for great touring and sight seeing in between fishing. This is our third visit in two years and is the best venue of this type that we have been to. Great hosts, great gite and great carp and not to forget lovely Oscar - see you next year !

Our third visit to Les Croix and it just gets better and better ! Perfect hosts as always, making it a "home from home" for us. The gite was prisitine, the cooking was delectable and Jon kept us supplied with bait, advice and anecdotes ! Despite unseasonably cool wet weather, the fishing was superb, all the fish were in A1 condition - a testament to Jon's skill and care in maintaining a first class fishery. Already booked for next year !

Very friendly hosts, very welcoming. Perfect home from home and gorgeous place to stay. Jon is very knowledgable about the lake and fish so listen to his advice - we caught lots of amazing fish and on the last morning landed a mirror of just under 60 lbs ! Fantastic week would definitely come again. Our first visit to les Croix, we have stayed at many fisheries in this region but none compare to the gorgeous setting of the lake with an immaculate gite and fantastic pool to use. The weather was glorious for the sunbathers with temperatures topping 37C but sadly this did not make for a brilliant week's fishing - this picked up on the Friday as the temperature cooled. Jon and Sophie were very supportive and Oscar entertained us with his antics ! We have re-booked for next year and hope to catch all the fish next time ! Loved the gite (spotlessly clean) great hosts, Oscar (I want to take him home !) See you next year....

This was our second visit to Les Croix and we spent a lovely week both relaxing and fishing. The weather was much kinder this time allowing

some lazy days by and in the pool, and also some cooler weather which allowed John some good fishing times ! We will be on a diet when we get home ! The gite as before was spotless with everything you could possibly need, it is so quiet and relaxing here which for us this year was absolutely neccessary and I enjoyed every minute.  Hard fighting fish in great condition. Thank you both once again for a very enjoyable week.

Our holiday here has been special in many ways - it was the first time my partner has joined me on a fishing holiday and it was great to see her

unwind and catch up on some much needed rest. The hospitality impressed, the food was excellent and the gite  immaculate.The first part of the week was warm allowing us to enjoy the pool, the second part was cooler with better fishing and I caught one of the fish that I have wished for - "Scaley" at 45lbs. A big thank you to you both and we will see you again next year.

Our second visit to Les Croix, again with the perfect hosts. The welcome pack was a delightful sight after the journey when all was needed was a cup of tea ! The gite is even more comfortable than last year thanks to the additions and upgrades. The weather has been fantastic, giving us the chance to use the pool, and do some sightseeing. All in all one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever visited. Our 18 month old daughter Darcy was happy feeding the goats and playing with Oscar. The fishing was not the most productive but we will be back next year to do better. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Our 4th visit to Les Croix (AKA fishing heaven !) We are already looking forward to our next visit to this prestigious venue in September. As usual

the welcome we received was excellent with the lake and surroundings looking superb. The fishing was slower than on some of our previous visits, perhaps due to the changeable weather and the fish being in-between spawning. All the fish caught were in superb condition as always. Once again a massive thank you to you both for your brilliant hospitaility throughout the week and for allowing us to fish again for your beautiful carp.

What a great place and setup in this peaceful spot of fishing heaven ! We have all had a great week in spite of the showery weather, the gite is great - we can't think of any improvements that could be made - it is by far the best accommodation that we have been to in France. Fantastic hosts who made our holiday even more enjoyable, the nice touches of welcome pack and flowers on arrival much appreciated. The fishing this week has been outstanding, thanks to you both for a great week.

Thank you both for a warm welcome on our arrival for our holiday. Firstly we did have a nice break away, even though the weather was poor and raining most of the time, the fish were beautiful and in outstanding condition, thanks to Jon's regime of fish care helping to look after his fish for all to enjoy for future years to come, as for weights of the fish these were very impressive indeed, with most fish being 30lb+ I thought that the linear mirror was a very beautiful fish and hope that this fish gains some weight, as with all the other stock in the lake. For fishing, this break would have to be the best holiday that we have experienced in last 7-8 years of coming to France. What a great days fishing on my birthday with the long mirror at 59lb 8oz and previously the hungry common at 51lb 4oz and several other 30lb+, 40lb+, and a few 20lb+ fish, this was a holiday to remember. We would recommend that others listen to Jon about resting the swim on occasions, to get the best from their fishing. It was nice to have the food all prepared for us. Thank you Jon for an outstanding fishery you have, you obviously run this very well with fish care paramount.

Second visit to this venue. We had everything the weather could throw at us this time, northerly winds turning to westerlies with heavy rain,

and decidedly cold all week with a sharp frost thrown in. We were determined and fished through it all and were rewarded with lots of 

quality carp. Accommodation spotless and meals excellent, Jon is always very helpful and cannot do enough to please.

We have booked again for next year and we are both coming again later this year.

First visit - fantastic welcome and hospitality. Welcome pack and home cooked meals well thought out and delicious food. Best weeks fishing

ever, fish in excellent condition due to Jon's fish care programme. Personal best caught weighing 57-08 with several 40's and 30's

plus a few 20's caught throughout the week. An unbelievable experience which also includes a warm comfortable gite, this is a must for any

fishing family.
