Back for second visit this year. 10 days fishing, 11 fish in the net. Beat my PB three times. Fish and fishing 5-star, only upstaged by the hospitality - they always give 100% to make your stay perfect. Food also 5-star as rated by all the other custromers, Jon's Indian cooking also excellent.

My 9th visit to Les Croix. A mixed bag of weather some still sunny days and some overcast with rain (more like it !) This had an effect on the feeding behaviour, but nonetheless I managed to winkle a few out, some big quality fish including five over 40lbs in succession - that certainly put a smile on my face ! As always a huge thank you to you both for making my stay very relaxing, see you in the spring.

Our 9th visit - this time for 2 weeks (heaven !) Once again we would like to thank Jon and the adorable Oscar for a fantastic 2 weeks of relaxation at the place we call carp fishing paradise - everything as usual was fantastic including the hosts' company, hospitality and advice throughout our stay. We have booked 2 weeks in 2015, 2016 and 2017 so we have much more to look forward to !

Our second visit to Les Croix was booked for Dereks' 50th as he enjoyed his trip so much last year. The venue is gorgeous, the gite perfect, the food is wonderful (especially the balti curry prepared by Jon which was restaurant quality !) all meals were delicious as well. The fishing - WOW ! totally exceeded our expectations and although a few less fish than last year, the average size was awesome, 12 of Derek's 14 fish were 35lbs + !  The weather was great and all in all a brilliant relaxing week - I'm sure we will be back.

A big thank you to Jon and Oscar for making our 4th trip to Les Croix as fantastic as every other visit. Weather stunning all week with plenty of sunshine. Visits out to the local area in the afternoons, fished the morning and evening sessions, baiting up and resting the lake in between with great results. We look forward to our next visit in 2016.

This is our second visit, having done a week last year in July. This time we booked two weeks to rest, relax and enjoy. My wife Angela fished just a few hours here and there and caught 3 doubles and two thirties including a new PB of 35-04 and the prettiest fish in the lake, the zip linear at 33-10 - what a stunning fish ! I had the best session of my life ... AWESOME ! The fish were in perfect condition and some of the 30's tried to pull my arm off ! This is simply the perfect venue for us with the gite and pool available to take a break from the fishing. The gite is comfortable and clean, the food was great and our hosts made sure that we had a perfect holiday. Many thanks for everything.

We have all enjoyed a wonderful week here on our first vsit to Les Croix. The weather has been quite changeable but this has not mattered in the slightest. Jon has created a supeb venue with excellent fishing and a comfortable gite with some nice added touches such as the fresh flowers and welcome hamper on arrival. Rose and Julie planned to go out and about visiting but were more than happy to spend time here relaxing at this wonderful place. Jon is over the moon with his fishing results - a  trip of a lifetime and a new lake record for the venue. Thanks for a great relaxing holiday and we look forward to seeing you in 2016.

A lovely warm welcome on arrival and all week Jon went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fantastic stay, a big thanks for all your recommendations on places to visit and eat. Our 2 year old son Isaac really warmed to you both which shows what lovely people you are. The gite and facilities were very clean and well maintained, it's nice to have found somewhere that is run with true passion and not just for the money. The lake and fishing were really enjoyable, the fish were in stunning condition and there was constant fizzing and showing, making the limited time I could give to the fishing very interesting. My results were from just a few hours early and late each day ! Big thanks form all of us see you again in 2016.

Our second visit to Les Croix - last time in 2010, everything was as we remembered, great accommodation, a real home from home. Weather was great but maybe a little too hot for the fishing as only managed to winkle out one mirror. Our dogs settled in very well and after a few days had great fun playing with Oscar. Thanks to Jon and Oscar, all the best and I will be back to get one of your "hippos" !

"Like coming home again" - we have had a lovely time as always here with Jon and Oscar. On arrival we were informed that the fish had not been feeding. After one very wet day on Sunday the weather picked up and the fishing improved. A massage in the gite along with plenty of time in the pool led to a very relaxing week, the gite was prepared to make us confortable as always and we will look forward again to next year which will be our 7th time here. Thank you Jon and Oscar.

Our 5th visit was just as enjoyable as the previous four ! The gite is a home from home and makes the perfect base for touring and sight seeing. With good sunny weather, the beach at Lac de St. Pardoux and the pool here have seen plenty of action. The fish have been spawning on and off in the first half of the week, but 4 hour sessions morning and evening have produced another superb weeks' fishing. Big thanks to Jon and Oscar.

A Fantastic week - our third visit and we have already booked the fourth ! A slow week for fishing due to weather conditions and fish not spawned yet, but manged four beautiful fish including a new PB. The gite was lovely, with the welcome pack and flowers - so good to be back. Mixed weather but with plenty of sunshine. Thanks for all the fantastic meals, so beautifully presented. The sun was shining gloriously when we arrived in paradise again ! The gite was immaculate on our arrival and we received a wonderfully warm welcome from Jon and the welcome pack and flowers were a really nice touch. The weather changed to wet and windy midweek with thunderstorms and this put the fish off for a couple of days. The fishing was slower than on our last vsit in 2012 but the quality of the fish was great, all stunning and put up great fights up to an hour long. The Nash Fang X hooks sold on site gave great hookholds. Thanks to Jon for a great relaxing week's holiday.

Another fantastic week on our 4th visit. Jon and Sophie looked after us superbly as always - nothing is too much trouble.The gite is immaculate, a home from home after a hard days fishing ! We would strongly recommend the food package, the freshly cooked meals are delightful with a very varied menu. The lake and surroundings are maturing nicely, a testament to Jon's planning and dedication. The fishing started with a bang, all the fish are immaculate and hard fighting, their condition due to the lakes' fish care strategy. A six star fishery ! Already booked for 2015.

Our 8th visiit. So nice to see the lake surroundings maturing and looking stunning, and the fish still growing at an unbelievable rate, all this down hard work and dedication. Despite very unsettled weather all week with a constantly changing wind, we still enjoyed a great weeks' fishing. As always the hospitality throughout the week was wonderful, with Oscar keeping us entertained with his antics. Looking forward to seeing you both in September, thanks again for a fantastic holiday.

My wife Sally and I love Les Croix ; the peace and quiet, the fishing, the facilities, the home cooked meals - just a few things which make this the perfect venue for us. Having the chance to catch some cracking fish in the daytime and spend time with Sally in the evenings, makes Les Croix the perfect venue for our holiday. I have been carp fishing for nearly 40 years and I have fished all over France including many of the well known lakes that hold big carp but have never experienced this sort of quality, size, and hard fighting carp. We will be back next year for more relaxation and hopefully another week like this one !

Wall to wall sunshine with high pressure, frosty mornings and afternoon temperatures up to 23C, great for the suntan ! The Northerly wind pushed the fish down into the shallows in the afternoons and provided a steady supply of quality carp. We both had personal best mirrors. Some more epic battles, the big mirror taking 1 hour 45 minures to land. The standards at Les Croix are always first class - hospitality, food and accommodation. Brilliant. See you next year.

The perfect week ! Exactly the dose of relaxation that both of us desired. The hosts are truly decent people - this contributed hugely to our enjoyment and the completely stress-free environment. Thank you. The fishing was excellent, although perseverance was required. We both had a wonderful time and very much look forward to returning next year.
