Catch Report 16th - 23rd October 2025

Jim's second week was just as good as the first.

Although conditions were more favourable with some rain and SW breezes, the results were very similar. A total of 29 carp were caught in this second week including 4 x 40's, 9 x 30's with lots of upper 30's and a very good average size of fish.

Nearly all the doubles were above 15lbs which shows that things are moving in the right direction, and no singles were caught. In this second week there were a few recaptures unlike week one.

Over the fortnight, 61 carp were caught with no singles, 9 x 40's, 17 x 30's. Jim has not fished the same number of hours as on previous trips, fishing on average from 09:00 until 17:00 and with just 2 rods which is a very relaxed approach but his results show that this is a venue where fantastic daytime fishing can be had.

Fish were caught from 3 areas of the lake, it was interesting to see how they moved from one area to another from day to day.
