Catch Report 16th - 23rd October 2025
Jim's second week was just as good as the first. Although conditions were more favourable with some rain and SW breezes, the results were very similar. A total of 29 carp were caught in this second week including 4 x 40's, 9 x 30's with lots of upper 30's and a very good average size of fish. Nearly all the doubles were above 15lbs which shows that things are moving in the right direction, and no singles were caught. In this second week there were a few recaptures unlike week

Catch report 9th - 16th October 2025
Jim and Helen Nicholson were back once more at Les Croix for their annual autumn fortnight, these two weeks being their 33rd and 34th at the venue ! The first week provided 7 days of beautiful sunshine, cool mornings but with warm sunshine later in the day. Far from what one would call ideal fishing conditions, but having started the week with a fish just under 50lbs, Jim went on to catch a total of 32 fish...an excellent result and a very enjoyable week's fishing with plenty

Catch Report 16th - 23rd October 2025
John and Julie returned to Les Croix after their two week road trip exploring the Dordogne further south. It was as if John had not left, as the fish were still in ravenous feeding mode on his return. Another fairly hectic week followed, and it has once again been an incredible weeks fishing with 62 fish caught. 6 x 40's, 16 x 30's, 16 x 20's and the rest doubles with just one single figure mirror of 9-11 in the catch on the last day ! 38 of the 62 fish were in excess of 30lb

Catch report 30th August - 6th September 2025
John with the Queen of the lake - The Chunky Common Here we are at the end of August, and entering into the last 2 months of the season which is always a productive and interesting period. August has been a very hot month and there has been no rain whatsoever since Ben was here in mid July. Consequently everything is burnt to a crisp, and the level of the lake is down approximately 18 inches. Nothing compared to what he had in 2011 where there was a 1metre wide dry strip arou
