A Memorable First Visit

Jim Pierce, Dave McQuilkin, and Mark Doran recently enjoyed their first trip to Les Croix. They had a fantastic time catching plenty of impressive fish while basking in mostly pleasant weather. The experience was nothing short of exhilarating!

The trip started steadily, but the real excitement kicked off on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. During those days, the fishing was fantastic! As the week progressed, things quieted down a bit, but by then, the trio had already landed some truly fabulous fish.

A Standout Performance

In the middle swim, Dave turned the common belief that being in the center is a disadvantage on its head. He caught the lion's share of the carp, netting an impressive eight fish weighing over 40 pounds! Among those were two incredible fish over fifty pounds! What a remarkable achievement!

The total catch for the three anglers was 27 carp, with ten of these beauties exceeding forty pounds. It was a great week for the guys, filled with excitement and camaraderie. We can’t wait to welcome them back in 2026!
